Artist Biography

Les Garcons Joufflus have been created by Stephane Calbo, a french composer living in Paris, France. This is a computer musical project which tries to elaborate a kind of digital "musique d'ameublement" (functional music, sound design, ambient, easy-listening, experimental muzak), inspired by electronic japanese pop (Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yazuaki Shimizu, Fantastic Plastic Machine...), the french composers of the early 20th century (Erik Satie, Poulenc...), soundtracks composers (Ennio Morricone, John Barry)..., experimental and minimalism (René Aubry, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Pascal Comelade, Albert Marcoeur...).
