Artist Biography

"Real" seems to be the accurate description for Miami/Hialeah-bred, rapper, lyricist & wonder kid, Xplicit. Raised by a single-parent (Rose Saez) in his hometown of Hialeah (a Miami sub-division). Today Xplicit writes about his own true experiences…what he considers “Real”. It’s hard to believe he’s only 19. Xplicit, born March 25, 1988, birth name Alexander Izquierdo. As a youth Xplicit has seen it all and lived through it. From his brother’s struggles with drugs to the incarceration of a childhood friend for murder, Xplicit has been witness to the struggles of life. Xplicit started getting into hip hop at the early age of 12, music was an outlet, a way of expressing himself and making his mark. His time was spent writing lyrics, about life around him and its struggles. These experiences created a foundation for his music today. Something real, unique....“a breath of fresh air to hip hop” as Xplicit would say. Xplicit would go on to record 6 mixtapes before the age of 17. His major influences are: Nas, Jadakiss, Trick Daddy, Joe Budden…and early on… his cousin, local music producer Mario Gonzalez aka Shakespeare. At the age of 18, Xplicit signed with the management of MP Productions, a management company created by Mixtapeprinting.com. January 2007, Xplicit began recording his first mixtape “The Beginning Vol. 1” under MP Productions management. Xplicit began promoting himself and his new music by opening up for anyone he could. Since January 2007, he has opened up for Cool N Dre, Fat Joe, Pitbull, Brisco and many other artists, gaining fans with every performance. March 2007, Xplicit was given the opportunity to perform at Calle Ocho (the largest block party in the US). He “shut it down” in front of tens of thousands of fans and spectators. Xplicit released The Beginning Vol. 1 in late May of 2007, hosted by DJ Aspekt and DJ S1 from the All Out Allstars. Tracks like "I’m from the South", "My Hood", and "30 Bars" gained him respect and fans, worldwide. With over 50,000 copies released, Xplicit's marketing & promotion team has traveled to cities across the country. Street distributions have begun in Miami/ South Florida • Major cities in Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio) • Jackson, MS • Shreveport, LA • Memphis, TN • New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA. With online communities such as Myspace, marketing Xplicit's music has reached thousands of people, globally.
