Who is Yung Nique?

Thats what alot of people are asking right about now. Nique, born Nickoli'Link has has had a "passion for hip-hop every since birth" he recalls. "I remember making beats with my mouth around the house when i was like 4 or 5 years old and my mother would just yell at me saying that I would annoy her". But he didn't let that stop him. Now making beats a little more professionally using "fruityloops@protools",he has got alot of recognition for his talent of producing and rapping/singing and just at the age 19 years old.

Why this name?

My mom actually gave me the name "NIQUE" because she would always tell me my style in general and the way i rap was "UNIQUE" so i decided to drop the "U" and just keep "NIQUE" now they all call me YUNG NIQUE.

Do you play live?

All my spots i performed at was in Cleveland and Columbus Ohio! Shot-out to club Lucies and club Obvious down there in the C-O ya held it down out there and also club Xtreme.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I feel that with out the internet and little portable devices, the underground artist wouldnt really be heard. but with this new technology,the world has evolved around the web and allows people to get tracks from artist that without the internet would never be able to get,have the opportunity to have an whole underground artists cd with all just a click of a button.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would still sign because rapping isn't just something i do for fun with my friends or something. I actually genuwine love making music and its something i want to do for a long time.
